Spring Workshops
Spring and autumn dates are usually by request of interested participants and will take place if minimum number of participants register. Current request is for 8-12 May. Still taking other request dates for May and June 2025. Send request to moeno.wakamatsu@gmail.com
When several people send matching dates, we announce the date.
Summer Workshops
• “Week 1” Foundation: 13 to 17 July 2025
• “Week 2” Development: 20 to 24 July 2025
• “Week 3” Laboratory Sound & Corporal Status / Performance: 27 July to 2 August 2025 (Performance 1 & 2 August)
Invited artist for “Week 3”: Lê Quan Ninh, percussion. Lê Quan Ninh
Lê Quan Ninh will join from 27 July.
[Each week can be attended separately. However, dancer participation in Week 3: priority is given to participants taking Week 1 or 2, or have previously worked with Moeno Wakamatsu. Musician participants can join Week 3 without requirements requirements.]

La Maison du Butoh Blanc, Normandy
«La Maison du Butoh Blanc» was a name that Masaki Iwana, a butoh artist and film director (1945 – 2020 – www.iwanabutoh.com ), gave to his artistic world. His studio was at his residence in Normandy, France — now called La Salle de Danse La Perrotiere. However, friends still continue to call the place «La Maison du Butoh Blanc» in fond memory of Masaki Iwana. An association for the arts was also created in the same name, «Association La Maison du Butoh Blanc» in his legacy.
